Candidates for the William Merle and Carolyn Smith Endowed Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a full-time student.
2. Have a minimun of a 3.0 (based on 4.0 system).
3. Be of outstanding moral character and have demonstrated financial need.
4. Preference will be given to graduates of Tishomingo County High School in Iuka, MS.
5. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the Bagley College of Engineering, College of Business or College of Veterinary Medicine, in that order.
